Stroke

But many have prolonged mental and physical after-effects from a stroke. Approximately 35% will develop a depression after a stroke.
If you develop a psychiatric disease after a stroke, your chances of rehabilitation will unfortunately be reduced. You will be functioning less well physically and socially.
Depressions after a stroke unfortunately have a tendency to be prolonged.
